Interventions in 7 circuses, Ukraine, 2024
These interventions-performances are the third part of the charity "Project Hope",
which began in 14 Ukrainian special schools in March and April 2022 and continued in April 2023 at the central hospital of Lozova, Kharkiv Oblast.
New, often sad and disruptive, sketches were created despite ongoing blackouts and shelling alarms in Ukrainian circuses.
What are the Ukrainian clowns, who professionally bring the light of hope to suffering children and people, doing?
Bioisms have entered the seven remaining Ukrainian arenas in the state circuses of Kyiv, Lviv, Odessa, Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, and Kharkiv, performing alongside 20 clowns, both old and young.
Who are these actors who continue to create new art in Ukrainian circuses?
Do they dare to grieve, be injured or feel scared? How is it possible for them not to lose their sense of humor and continue sharing the light of hope?
