The installation of Aljoscha offers transcendental immersion in the artist’s translucent and delicately coloured synthetic organic forms, inviting the audience to reflect on the phylogenetic origins of human eudaimonia and upcoming bioethics. The artist seeks to elevate humanity, trapped in the harsh uncertainties of the genetic lottery, to a state of deviative progress through the ongoing pursuit of paradise engineering.
Aljoscha believes, that bioism, which he personally invented and based his oeuvre on, is the revelation of a new era in bioethics, will redefine the ethical boundaries, enforce universal empathy, and actively work towards a future where suffering is minimized, and the relationship with the biological world is characterized by consciousness and compassion. The artist’s bioism is an attempt to create art based on vitality, multiplicity and complexity.
